Last Saturday I went to the Botanical Garden in Ann Arbor to meet Stephanie and Keith for their engagement session. Unfortunately, the flowers were not out yet in the garden but we still were able to get some great images. Steph and Keith are getting married on June 2nd. We had a lot of fun with the engagement session and I am looking forward to their wedding. Here is a slideshow with a few of the images from the session.

Jaime and Velko were married yesterday in Farmington Hills. It was a Macedonian ceremony. I love these ceremonies because photographers are allowed (and encouraged) to get right up front in the middle of the action. This is so different from most weddings where I have to stay in the back of the church. It felt really strange standing in the front, facing Jaime and Velko, but it allowed me to get some great shots that would not have been possible from the back.

Stephanie and Justin are getting married August 18 and I met them yesterday at Kensington Metro Park for their engagement session. The temperature was 42 degrees, the skies were gray, and the wind was blowing. Take a look at their slideshow. I don’t think they looked cold at all. (Well, maybe just a little)

Well, the new website has been launched, along with the new logo. I found a great singer/composer and she agreed to let me use her music on my site. Check out her website to hear more of her music.

I am adding a new way to preview album designs and an album progress page so clients can monitor the album creation process.

I recently spent a week in Las Vegas for the annual WPPI and DWF conventions and came away with all kinds of inspiration and new ideas. I am currently looking at adding some new and different album offerings and making improvements to client proofing and shopping cart experiences.

Amy and John are getting married on January 12th of next year and they stopped by last Saturday for an engagement session. It was pretty chilly outside, but Amy agreed to give it a try and I think it was worth it. Here is their slideshow.

Charisse and Gary were married yesterday in Warren, Michigan. Late March in Michigan can be pretty cold and wet, but the weather was great and we were even able to get a few outdoor photos. They had a large wedding party (20 counting the ushers and kids) and large families so it made for a busy day. We had a great time and really enjoyed spending the day with Charisse and Gary. Oh, and I don’t know what this means, but 275. Here is their slideshow.

Super Sunday wasn’t so super in our house. I grew up in Chicago and have been a Bears fan since I was a boy. We had a few minutes of hope when Hester returned the opening kickoff for the Bears, but it was all down hill after that. Oh well, maybe next year. Here is my grandson Spencer enjoying the game.

Jenny and Justin were married yesterday in Southgate. Jenny was a beautiful bride and Justin did a mean Pee Wee Herman dance. They are a great couple and I really enjoyed spending the day with them. I put together this slideshow with some of my favorite shots from the day. Enjoy!

I helped a friend shoot a wedding at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion last Saturday. It was a nice day considering it was early January in Michigan. Here’s a few shots of the bride and groom from that wedding.

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update. With the holidays now behind me, I have been concentrating on designing and delivering albums before the wedding season gets going again. But I have done a few portrait sessions over the holiday season. First a big family portrait. That’s Jenny and Chris in the center of the back row. They are getting married in July so I’m going to see all these folks again in about 6 months.
